Description 

Lumbar techniques are the groundwork of interventional procedures and create the foundation for optimal patient outcomes. Whether you are beginning in the field or need a refresher, this course is essential. The course is comprised of 8 hours of hands-on training,  -hours of lecture and didactic time, and 1 hour of time dedicated discussion between instructors and attendees. It prepares the student for the Advanced Lumbar Bio-Skills Lab and all other advanced courses. During this 13-hour lumbar procedures course the following techniques will be taught:

  • Needlecraft
  • C-Arm Utilization
  • Interlaminar Epidural
  • L1-5 Transforaminal Epidural
  • Medial Branch Block
  • S1 Transforaminal Epidural
  • Sacroiliac Joint

In addition, there will be lectures and didactics covering:

  • Anatomy and Imaging
  • Indications and Techniques
  • Risks and Complications
  • Fluoroscopy Technical Considerations
  • Radiation Safety
  • Complications and Case Management
